Cheat Detection
An add-on designed to give your AI Recruiter an extra layer of intelligence and awareness, helping your team hire with more confidence.
When enabled, Apriora uses advanced AI to monitor for suspicious candidate behavior, cross-checking multiple analyses to flag interviews for review. This enhanced functionality minimizes false positives and surfaces candidates who may not be acting in good faith.
What Cheat Detection Does
Cheat Detection actively monitors the interview for potential red flags using multiple, specialized analyses. It runs several checks and aggregates the results into an overall score. If an interview crosses the threshold you define, it will be automatically flagged for your team to review.
Cheat Detection now analyzes the following behaviors:
- Multiple People Analysis: Detects if more than one person is present in the video frame.
New feature!
- Eye and Head Tracking: Tracks the candidate’s eye and head movements to detect distractions or signs of looking off-screen.
Improved feature with more precision!
- Voice Analysis: Detects external voices or voice switching (such as someone feeding the candidate information or using voice-changing software).
New feature!
- Transcript Analysis: Compares answers for inconsistencies and checks for responses that may have been generated by AI or look scripted.
New feature!
Flagged interviews will appear in the report view with a notification at the top, along with a detailed breakdown of the analyses.
How to Use It
If Cheat Detection is enabled on your account, go to Settings → Interviews and look for the Cheat Detection Threshold setting. Set a number between 0–100. Any interview scoring at or above this number will be flagged for review.
Example:
A threshold of 40 will flag any interview scoring 40+.
Understanding the Scores
- The lower the score, the better. A low score indicates that the interview is likely free from suspicious behavior.
- A score of 100 is an indicator of high confidence that cheating occurred.
- You will see scores for each individual analysis (e.g., eye tracking, voice analysis), which are then aggregated into an overall score.
New feature.
