Enable and control automatic job generation and settings
Getting Started
Enabling automatic job generation means that Apriora job interviews will be created automatically for new reqs added to your ATS. If you have an automatic invitations enabled through Workflows, your AI job interviews will essentially operate autonomously!
Not to worry - you can add filters such that some, but not all new reqs have job interview automatically generated. Keep reading to learn more.
Head to the Settings tab on the left hand navigation pane. Within Settings, click Auto Job Gen, which will be an option in the Settings menu. Use the toggle to turn this feature on and reveal settings.
After enabling Auto Job Gen, it is important to pay attention to each setting that follows:
- Default Job Type: Indicate default to video or phone, if applicable. Some clients have only one modality as part of their subscription to Apriora.
- Default Creation Template: Choose the template - if any - from which jobs will be created.
- Default Messaging: Assign the messaging template that will be used for auto-generated jobs. Messaging templates can be changed for any job after its created.
- Default Workflow: The workflow that will be used for handling auto-generated job. (See Workflows to learn more.)
- Job Generation Filters: Add filters to specify what jobs will be generated.
- On Create Update Field: Optionally, choose a field to update upon Job Creation with the text you input in the textbox, such as “AI Interview Created”.
- Job Generation Filters: Add filters to specify which job reqs to include or exclude for auto-gen. See detailed instructions below.
- Job Generation Field Mappings: Identify information from the job req - beyond the Title and Job Description - for the AI Interviewer to know when creating interviews. See detailed instructions below.
When you’re done, click the purple Save button in the upper right!
Job Generation Filters
These filters allow you control which job reqs will have AI job interviews automatically generated.
- Click add filter. This will serve you the option to choose an AND filter or an OR filter.
- Next, choose the entity to which you want the automations to listen, typically JobOrder or ClientCorporation.
- Finally, choose the operative field within this entity and indicate the appropriate condition.

This feature allows you to identify information from the job req that you would like the AI interviewer to know when creating the job interview. Note, the job title and job description are always known to the AI interviewer.
- Click Add Mapping.
- Select the field that contains the relevant information.
- In the final text box, enter a short description of the information contained in the selected field. For instance, you could say “worksite options” or “employment type” or “location”. Click anywhere out of the text box when you’re done.
- Click Save in the top right.
